Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has reassured Nigerians that she will soon present evidence to support her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
“At the right time and at the right space, I will present the evidence that I have,” she announced on Channels Television after she survived the attempt to recall her through an illegal petition she alleged was funded by Akpabio.
The Kogi Central Senator also named co-sponsors of the conspiracy as Kogi Governor Ahmed Ododo and his cousin and predecessor Yahaya Bello.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday rejected the petition, saying the number of authenticated constituents who signed the petition fell short of 51 per cent of registered voters in Kogi Central as required by the Constitution.
That came two days after she defied all institutional obstacles and physical road blocks and flew in a helicopter to address her constituents in her home town who trooped out in great numbers to hear her speak.
Besides the earlier sexual harassment allegations, Natasha disclosed at the event that Akpabio, Ododo, and Bello allegedly conspired to kill her and the three men should be held responsible if anything should happen to her.
She is still on suspension from the Senate for six months, a decision taken at a Senate plenary chaired by Akpabio, who because a judge in his own case, without giving the woman the opportunity to defend her claims.
