NASS Siege: Osinbajo meets most senior SSS official, EFCC chairman Magu

-

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has met separately with the most senior official at the State Security Service (SSS), Mathew Seiyefa, as well as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.

The meetings are coming on the heels of a siege on the National Assembly Tuesday by operatives of the SSS.

Osinbajo had earlier announced the sack of the former Director General of the SSS, Lawan Daura, and directed him to hand over to the most senior official in the service.

The official, Seiyefa from Bayelsa State, arrived the Presidential Villa in an official SUV at about 4 p.m., clutching a file.

He was received at the entrance of the Villa by the ADC to the acting president.

Shortly after he arrived, Magu also arrived, and walked briskly into Osinbajo’s office.

The EFCC chairman however left the office in a rush at about 4.40 p.m.

Efforts by journalists to speak with the anti-graft boss were unsuccessful.
