Naira Marley also demanded a thorough investigation into the death of the 27-year-old singer

Nigerian singer, rapper and record label owner, Azeez Adeshina Fashola better known as Naira Marley, has claimed he is not complicit in the death of his former signee, Ifeoluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad.
TheNiche reported that Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on Thursday and was buried on Wednesday in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Since his demise, a lot of Nigerians have pointed accusing fingers at his former boss, Naira Marley, who fell out with him after signing him to his record label.
A petition campaign initiated by popular blogger, Gistlover, which began on Friday and titled “ Ban Marlin Music’’ has garnered over 126,574 signatures as of press time on Friday.
However, in a statement posted on his Instagram on Friday, Naira Marley said he is “heartbroken” by Mohbad’s death, adding that he will “be truly missed”.
The Marlian Record label boss also admitted that even though he had “disagreements, with the late singer, no harm whatsoever was wished on him.

Naira Marley went on to console Mohbad’s family, while demanding a thorough investigation into the death of the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has said they are waiting for singer Bella Shmurda, a close friend of late rapper Mohbad, to provide information that will aid their investigation.
The police had on Thursday said they have launched an investigation into the singer’s demise.
The law enforcement agency also called for individuals with useful information, especially friends and family members of the late rapper to come forward.
Subsequently, controversial self-acclaimed investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, on Saturday gave Bella Shmurda 48 hours ultimatum to go to the police and speak up.
On her X handle, she wrote; “Bella Shmurda I’m giving you 48 hrs to go to @PoliceNG and speak to @Princemoye1 or force CID Ikoyi.”
Reacting to her post, Police spokesperson, Adejobi quoted Olunloyo’s post with the caption; “I am waiting to hear from him.”
Bella Shmurda had in an interview revealed that Mohbad attempted suicide after his fallout with Naira Marley-owned record label, Marlian Music. He also stated that the late rapper was receiving threats.
