NAF aircraft crashes in Kaduna as two pilots escape unhurt

NAF after the incident said the Chief of Air Staff has ordered a preliminary investigation to ascertain the cause of the crash

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that it has lost one of its aircrafts following the crash of ‘Super Mushshak’ trainer aircraft in Kaduna on Thursday.

According to a statement made available  to pressmen by NAF spokesman, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet,  the ‘Mushshak’ crashed at about 2:35 pm.

He, however, added that there was no casualty recorded during the incident as the two pilots in it escaped unhurt.

The statement read: “The accident, which occurred at about 3.5 nautical miles from Kaduna Military Airfield, involved two pilots, who were returning from a routine training flight.

“Luckily, both pilots came out of the crash unscathed.”

Gabkwet went on to to say the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, has ordered a preliminary investigation to ascertain the cause of the crash.

“The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has since directed for a preliminary investigation to ascertain the immediate cause of the crash”, the statement added.
