Controversial and Big Brother Nigeria season 6 housemate, Angel, has disclosed that her grandmother ensured she remain a virgin all through her teenage years.
According to her, when she was growing up, her grandmother used to check her virginity status by asking her to lie down in the bed, while she examines her.
She made this known in a conversation with Cross on Wednesday, while intimating him about her growing up days and how her grandmother ensured she stayed a virgin as a teenager.
“There was pressure on me to not get pregnant. So she was scared. I remember she would tell me to lie down in bed to check if I’m a virgin. And that’s stupid because not every woman has a hymen.
“Some women are virgins and they don’t have hymen. I remember one time she made me swear that I was a virgin. I think I was still 16. There was a lot of fear, lot of anxiety, and a lot of everything,” Angel said.
The 34-year-old Cross and Angel have been romantically entangled since the house became scanty due to the exit of several housemates , before then, they have been hitting on each other too.
She also stopped talking to him and began to avoid him at some point in the house. When she was asked why she stopped relating with him, she said it was her way of fighting her feeling for him.
The 21-year-old also told Cross how distant she was from her parents, stating that she thought her mum was her sister till she was seven years old.
Angel said, “When I was in high school, I went years without seeing my mum. The funny thing is I didn’t know my mum was my mum until I was a certain age. I thought my granny was my mum.”
Cross asked Angel what age she knew her mum and she answered, “I think I found out she was my mum when I was probably like seven.”
Earlier in the show, Angel had revealed that her mum had her at 16 and tried to abort her because of her grandmother’s advice.
