For many that have followed the Saga and Nini relationship in the BBNaija house this season, it was unthinkable that the engineer turned artist was in any relationship before he got into the house, given the way he has expressed his love for the beautiful Edo housemate.
Nini on the other hand , has made it clear since the first day that she was in a serious relationship outside the house, and therefore not willing to leave it for another one in the house.
The duo has however, gotten so close and sometimes romantically involved that they are now inseparable in the house.
The 28-year-old Lagos indigene, Saga, in his diary session yesterday, made it known that he was in a relationship shortly before coming into the house and that it ended almost a month before the show.
He added that though he made efforts to make it work , they had to go their separate ways. He also said he is not willing to rekindle the relationship after the show.
“I was in a relationship which ended about a month and a week before coming into the show. It was a three-year-long relationship.
“It was a big one but sadly, it didn’t end well. It ended, so I don’t have any romantic attachments. So once I step outside, I step out a free man. It probably may not be the best thing but it has its good sides.
“At least, I can probably rebrand myself on my own terms because everything is going to change for me. I don’t know what level but everything can never remain the same before I entered this house versus now.
“So I’ll just have to work on my own terms. So it’s okay. I don’t plan to go back to my former relationship. I think I’ve made that pretty clear on this show.
“I did my best to have made that work but it didn’t work out, which is fine. She was awesome but it just didn’t work. I don’t think now is the time to make it work.” Saga said.
Perhaps, if Saga had kept his previous relationship, maybe Nini would have been happier, given her recent comment that she hopes her actions with Saga will not affect her relationship outside the house.
Saga tried to avoid blame game while speaking about his ex-girlfriend but will certainly not be giving up on snatching Nini away from her boyfriend.
He also said yesterday, that outside his father, who they are just getting to know each other, after the death of his mum, he has just a sister , who is far away in Canada, and unlikely to make it to the show when he is out.
