Afrobeats singer and rapper Okafor Uchenna Victor, popularly known as Mr Real, has berated his colleagues for entering the studio to release new music despite the escalating insecurity in Nigeria.
The ‘Legbegbe’ crooner made his feelings known in a video broadcast shared recently on social media.
Mr Real also accused Nigerian music fans of insensitivity for going to clubs while fellow compatriots are dying in droves.

He noted that he has been unable to drop new music due to the current mood of the nation.
“I wake up to terrible news every day. I am even scared to drop songs because of the terrible things happening in Nigeria. Artists who are releasing songs are brave, because I don’t know what kind of mindset they have. How do some artists do it?”
“This country is burning. People are dying. Some individuals have turned insecurity into a business and we still go to the club. That is the problem,” Mr Real said.
He added: “You can argue that you have your own life to live. I also can’t deny that I club or enjoy my life. But can’t you see that it is not normal? It is like we are under a spell to be docile no matter how much worse things get. Is it normal?”
