Mourinho talking to DAZN after Roma’s 2-2 draw against Salernitana on Monday night, described the decision as ‘a joke’

Roma boss, Jose Mourinho, has criticized Serie A’s management for its decision to deduct points from Juventus with two more games to go this season.
The Bianconeri dropped to 10th position in January after they were first handed a 15-point deduction, but the decision was overturned last month and they went up into UEFA Champions League spots.
However, the former Serie A champions have now been hit with a new 10-point deduction, as a repercussion for their financial violations and illegal transfer dealings.
Prior to the latest deduction, Juventus were in second place behind Serie A champions Napoli on the log table with 69 points, but they have now dropped down to seventh place and are five points off a Champions League place.
The decision to take points from the club’s tally for the second time this season was announced within moments of their Monday night game at Empoli kicking off – and perhaps influenced by the news, Juventus’ three-game winning run was brought to a crashing halt by a 4-1 defeat to their mid-table hosts.
That result, combined with the new sanctions, leaves their top-four hopes all but over with just one more game to play this season.

Speaking on the development after Roma’s 2-2 draw against Salernitana on Monday, Mourinho told DAZN: “It’s a joke to know this with two games remaining.
“For us and everyone, even for Juventus. Our approach would have been different if we had known before the games with Monza and Bologna.
“I am sorry for [Massimiliano] Allegri and his players, but at the league level, I have to say that it changes things a little.”
