English pundit and former Crystal Palace striker, Clinton Morrison, has made it clear that Manchester City will have to improve defensively if they want to compete with Arsenal for the English Premier League title.
He was reacting to City’s 5-4 win over Fulham in a mid-week league fixture played at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men took a 3-1 lead at halftime and extended the scoreline to 5-1 at some point in the second half of the encounter.
However, a goal from Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze’s brace after halftime almost cost the former champions three vital points.

Speaking after the highly intriguing game, Morrison noted that even though Man City are prolific in front of goal, it was Josko Gvardiol’s clearance that helped them avoid a draw against Fulham.
He went on to argue that the Manchester club will need to play better at the back if they want to compete with league leaders, Arsenal.
Morrison said: “There’s a problem with Man City defensively. I’ve said it all season that we know they can score goals, no bother with them the way they’re going forward, but defensively they have to be better.
“Josko Gvardiol just made a clearance and helped his team to three points, and at the end of the season that could be a big three points.
“They need to be better defensively because you’d never see Arsenal be 5-1 up and end like that, so they have to sort that out.”
