Morocco with the 2-0 win, move above Belgium to the top of Group F on four points, with Croatia and Canada set to meet later on

Morocco caused the latest upset at the 2022 World Cup that has already witnessed surprises by beating Belgium thanks to two goals in the second half of the game played at the Al Thumama Stadium.
Belgium, who is the second-ranked team in the world paid the price for a ponderous performance, while Morocco, capped a second magnificent effort with 3 points on offer.
The African side went ahead in the 73rd minute when substitute Abdelhamid Sabiri curled a corner kick into the back of the net with his right foot, beating Thibaut Courtois in Belgium’s goal.

That sparked wild celebrations in the stands of Al Thumama Stadium from thousands of Morocco fans, who had created a raucous atmosphere from the start.
The Atlas Lions doubled their advantage 2 minutes into stoppage time, when Hakim Ziyech created a scoring opportunity for Zakaria Aboukhlal who scored to make it 2-0 and take the game beyond Belgium.
The result means Morocco move above Belgium to the top of Group F on four points, with Croatia and Canada set to meet later on.
