Minister of Interior Tunji-Ojo charges Okeagbe monarch, Oba Arasanyin to work for unity of the people

The Minister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has charged the Ajana Afa of Okeagbe Akoko in Ondo State, Oba Mofolorunso Adegboyega Arasanyin, to work for the unity of Okeagbeland and embrace the wisdom, grace, and humility that befit a leader of his stature as a first-class monarch.
The Minister made the plea when Oba Mofolorunso Arasanyin paid him a courtesy visit to his office in Abuja.
Hon Tunji-Ojo was delighted to see the first-class monarch for the first time since the coronation and promised to support him in all his endeavours.
He tasked the monarch to carry all his brother Obas in Okeagbe and foster unity amongst his entire subjects in the community.
He rejoiced with the people of Afa Okeagbe for having a new king, adding that the recent coronation and presentation of staff and instrument of office momentous occasion by the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa signified the embodiment of tradition, heritage, and the continuation of the legacy of leadership in our land.
“Kabiyesi, I enjoin and implore your sir to work hand in hand with other traditional rulers in Okeagbe town and also the government to foster unity in the community.
“I want to say Kabiyesi that collaboration and cooperation between other traditional institutions and government authorities are paramount in addressing the challenges facing our area and ensuring the safety and well-being of our people,” Tunji-Ojo said.
In his address, the paramount ruler, Oba Arasanyin, said that the courtesy call was a furtherance of his thank-you visits to his prominent subjects for their contributions to the successful coronation ceremony
The monarch, however, used the opportunity to drum the support of the Honourable Minister to his articulate plans of development for Okeagbe in general. The planned skill acquisition training centre, school developments, attention to the health care facilities in Okeagbe, youths’ engagement in productive ventures, urban development, and tarring of Okeagbe township roads, among others
Oba Arasanyin promised to visit all his subjects in Europe, America, and the UAE very soon to seek their support for his plans for Okeagbe
