Former House of Representatives member, Oladele Kosoko, has cautioned Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, to mind his utterances against President Muhammadu Buhari as they could cause disaffection in the country.
He admonished Fayose to rise above his “petty propaganda’’ and face serious governance lacking in Ekiti.
Reacting to Fayose’s allegations against Buhari, Kosoko accused him of “consistently hyping the polity with his propaganda that is baseless, unfounded and full of lies.’’
Kosoko, a former House Science and Technology Committee chairman, said “Fayose must conduct himself like a governor and stop talking lousily, despite the fact that he is still a caretaker governor.
“The way he makes unguarded comments is demeaning of the position he occupies, and God forbid if anything should happen to Mr president it can erupt into violence of immense proportion in the land.’’
Fayose is a vocal critic of Buhari’s administration, referring to it as a “one chance government.”
On Monday, December 14, he alleged that the federal government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) plan to use the military inquiry report to upturn the judgment of the Supreme Court which declared him winner of the Ekiti governorship ballot.
Fayose warned that any attempt to implement the agenda would be resisted and may plunge the nation into great danger.
His words: “I am a clean person but what they are doing now is that they went to Kaduna and after all submissions, they want to now come up and say that the military rigged Ekiti election.
“They are releasing their report very soon and they want to come back and say that, knowing full that the military report holds no water in law, the attorney general of the nation or other agencies of the federal government will want that report revealed and that will be issued in Kaduna any time from now.
“They want to use that and approach the Supreme Court to review its position which is not known to law.”
In reaction, Kosoko told Fayose to be decent in his utterances rather than showcasing “unpolished mannerisms shamelessly and behaving like a thug.”
