Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has expressed delight after La Albiceleste beat Canada in a Copa America group game played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday.
Scaloni’s men emerged victorious against the North American side after scoring two unreplied goals in their first game of the tournament.
Messi was instrumental during the encounter as two goals from Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez gave the World Cup holders all three points.

Reacting to the victory, the Inter Miami forward, took to his Instagram story to express satisfaction with the outcome of the match.
Sharing a picture of himself with his teammates after the game, Messi wrote, “First step.”
