Well, not exactly a personal account, sort of. But fans of the Duchess of Sussex can get to see her again on the photo-sharing app.
The once avid poster deleted her personal social media accounts a little over a year ago. A palace source told People Magazine that the reason is that since she hasn’t used her accounts for a while; she has taken the decision to close them.
Markle also shut down her blog, the Tig, shortly before the royal wedding.
For some months, the only way to get an update on the couple was through the palace official social handles that posted on behalf of the royal siblings and their spouses: Meghan, Harry, Kate, and William.
But reports say that the moment Harry and Meghan are able to split household from William and Kate, they would get their own account.
The official Kensington Palace handle welcomed the handle @SussexRoyal on Tuesday which ushers in the new era of Harry and Meghan posts.
And the new account seems to have hit the ground running. It has garnered over two million followers and counting.
Here’s their first post, which did not disappoint on formality.
