Real Madrid striker, Kylian Mbappe, has declined an opportunity to way-in on the chances of Barcelona winger, Lamine Yamal, winning the “2025 Ballon d’Or”.
Speaking to BILD recently, the France captain refused to back the talented young player for the award because he plays for Madrid’s LaLiga arch-rivals.

He, however, admitted that the 18-year-old forward is a very talented player.
Both Mbappe and Yamal were nominated in the top 30 players to compete for the Ballon d’Or winner this year.

However, when asked if the Spanish international can win the Ballon d’Or this year, Mbappe said (via Le Parisien): “Lamine Yamal?
“He is a very good player but he is from Barcelona. I can’t say anything.”
Yamal did very well last season for Barcelona, helping the Catalan club to reach the Champions League semi-final stage.
He also led the Blaugrana to win the LaLiga and Copa del Rey.
