Maritime journalists receive training from School of Eloquence, Customs, MWUN

Media practitioners under the aegis of Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) on Friday in Lagos, were tutored on the appropriate ways to report stakeholders activities in the maritime industry.

Resource personnel from the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) , Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) and School of Eloquence engaged journalists on the right terminology on their reportage and publications in line with ethics of the profession.

In attendance were the Dean, School of Eloquence Ubong Essien, Deputy President General of MWUN, Comrade Harry Tonye , Deputy Secretary General, MWUN Comrade Oniha E. Odigie, Head of Media MWUN, Comrade Kennedy Ikemefuna and Customs Public Relations Officer, Lagos Free Zone, Superintendent of Customs Abdullahi Lagos.

The one day training programme for journalists put together by AMJON also had a technical session with paper presentation by Software Developer and ICT Consultant , Victor Ijezie , who enlightened the participants with topics surrounding “how to create wealth from online media platforms.”
