Man United defiled all odds to beat pre-match favourites and local rivals, Man City 2-1 in an FA Cup final played at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils scored two goals through Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo in the 30th and 39th minutes respectively to give the red half of Manchester 2-0 lead.

The win means league champions, Man City will not win a double this season, while Man United have now qualified for Europa League despite finishing 8th in the league.

Prior to the match, Man United boss, Erik ten Hag, had claimed fans of the club have “no sense of reality” despite going eleven years without the league title.

He made this known during an interview with Dutch outlet VI ahead of United’s FA Cup final against Man City.
