TheNiche had earlier reported that the Gunners on Tuesday night submitted a third bid for the Hammer’s captain.

This follows a club-record £90m bid comprising a £75m fee and £15m in add-ons and an earlier opening offer thought to be worth £80m plus add-ons which were both turned down by the West Ham

However, Taking to his Twitter Handle, Romano claimed Man City who had earlier sent in a bid worth £90m have pulled out of the deal to sign the Three Lions midfielder after the latest Arsenal bid.

He tweeted: “Manchester City to leave Declan Rice as internal discussion took place today — after Arsenal record bid submitted on Tuesday.

“City have no intention to enter into a bidding war, as always. No plans to match £105m proposal.

“Over to Arsenal and West Ham now,”

Man City had on Monday night offered £80m up front plus £10m in add-ons for the England midfielder but the bid fell short of the Hammers’ evaluation.
