Man City won their 4th EPL trophy in 5 seasons, after ending Liverpools’ unprecedented quadruple dream by beating Aston Villa at Etihad

Manchester City are Premier League champions after coming from behind to defeat Aston Villa 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
The home side pipped Merseyside outfit, Liverpool, to the trophy in a dramatic style, beating the visitors 3-2 in the process.
Aston Villa withstood early City pressure and got a break when Lucas Digne whipped in a cross from the left which found Matty Cash who nodded it beyond Ederson in goal to make it 1-0 to the visitors.

They doubled their advantage in the 69th minute after Philip Coutinho scored from an assist from Ollie Watkins.
While it seemed the game was going away from Man City, they reduced the deficit when Raheem Sterling’s cross was headed in by second half substitute Ilkay Gundogan, who made it 1-2.
The home side equalised in the 73rd minute when Oleksandr Zinchenko pulled the ball back to Rodri on the edge of the box and he drilled it into the bottom left corner.
The Citizens finished the job 4 minutes later when Ilkay Gundogan scored Man Citys’ third goal and his brace after an assist from Kelvin De Bruyne.
Pep Guardiola’s men with the latest win, have now won their fourth league title in five consecutive seasons, they also ended Liverpool’s unprecedented quadruple dream.
