Love as an elixir

Love is a most powerful force,
At man’s disposal to influence,

The world and emancipate himself.
It’s costlessly available to everyone:
Man and woman; young and old; rich and poor,
To freely exercise and enjoy;
But it’s terribly neglected.

Try and be nice to someone;
Give something if you can.
But always be the person to bring,
Succour to the next person.
Even if a stranger he is;
Even if with just a smile or pleasant gesture.
For it feels more than nice for both.
Not only to those pleasant to us,
But even more to those who irritate us.
Not only to those near us,
But even as much to strangers.
Let your warmth touch all;
Always be active with love;
For it is the spring of life.
