Muoka noted that despite VeryDarkMan’s remarks about his church and members, he is the one facing an investigative panel

The founder of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Lazarus Muoka has traced the current travails of popular influencer, Martins Otse better known as VeryDarkMan or VDM to his decision to make negative remarks about his church and members.

VeryDarkMan on Monday appeared before the House of Representatives joint committee on financial crimes and reformatory institutions investigating a audio recording he leaked.

In the now-viral voice note, popular crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju aka Bobrisky alleged that he bribed some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him.

He also claimed that contrary to the impression that he never spent six months in prison, he was in a private apartment.

Although Bobrisky has since denied the allegations, the revelation eventually generated a controversy which led to the investigative hearing by the House of Representatives.

During the prob, VeryDarkMan was invited, alongside the EFCC, NCoS and Bobrisky.

Prior to this, VDM had criticized the trending phrase “I am chosen”, commonly chanted by Lord’s Chosen members following the church’s controversial testimonies some weeks ago.

However, while reacting to the invitation of the influencer by a House of Reps’ committee in a now trending video on the internet, Muoka said “Somebody came to tell me that one man called VeryDarkMan said Chosen people will learn something the hard way.

“And I said no, Chosen will not learn something the hard way, he is the one that will learn the hard way. What is happening today? He is the one learning something the hard way.”
