Liverpool take a trip to the Estadio da Luz in Portugal to face Primeira Liga side Benfica in the quarter-final of the 2022 UEFA Champions League.
The Premier League club are trying to win five consecutive away games in the European Cup/Champions League for only the second time, having last done so between 1983 and 1984 under Joe Fagan.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Ibrahima Konate took a huge leap and powered a header from a corner from Andrew Roberson into the bottom corner to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead.
The Reds doubled their advantage in the 34th minute when a brilliant ball over the top by Trent Alexander-Arnold was headed on by Luis Diaz into Sadio Mane’s path and the forward tapped in.

Benfica reduced the deficit in the 49th minute when Ibrahima Konate missed a routine clearance from a cross and the ball ran through to Darwin Nunez, who took full advantage and scored.
But the visitors restored their two-goal cushion three minutes to the end of the regulation time when Naby Keita slipped a brilliant ball through to Diaz, who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted in.
