Members of Delta State House of Assembly on Thursday, May 11, 2017, impeached their Speaker, Monday Igbuye and elected Sherif Oborezwori representing Okpe constituency to succeed him.

The lawmakers met at Asaba by 6:ooam to impeach Igbuye, was acussed of running the house with iron hand, being close to the executive and the judiciary to the detriment of the independence of the legislature.
