Popular Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare has taken to social media to intimate her fans of her plans to join active politics.
The thespian made this known on Thursday after she was appointed as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Entertainment, Art, Culture, and Tourism by Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
Bakare, who is famous for her roles in Yoruba movies, while receiving her appointment letter in a now-viral video, described the honour as the beginning of her political career.

She went on to express gratitude to the governor in the trending post shared on her official Facebook page.
Speaking on the appointment, Laide Bakare wrote: “To my new boss, Governor Ademola Adeleke Imole Osun, thank you so much for the trust and opportunity to serve. I promise to deliver my best. So help me God.
“The entire good people of Osun and Nigeria at large. It’s actually a new dawn for me starting my political career from here.”
