Lagos SWAN invites 33 players for Paul Ogazi testimonial match

The coaching crew of the Lagos chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has invited thirty three players to camp for a testimonial match in honour of retired Sports guru,Paul Ogazi billed for Monday August 11 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

 

The match which will see the main Lagos SWAN team battle with the Lagos Veteran SWAN team is part of activities to celebrate Ogazi who recently retired from NTA as Manager, Sports, after spending over 20 years with the broadcasting outfit.

Topping the list of the invited players are: Goalkeeper Ladi Egbedire (Silverbird TV), captain Wale Joseph (The Tribune), Raymond Nwaduba (SportsDay) Kalu Emmanuel (NTA), Jide Alaka (Goal.com), Wale Ajose (Complete Sports, Gift George (NTA), Femi Obong Daniel (Cool/Wazobia FM), Henry Esabunefe (SportsDay) and with Sean Amadi (Brila FM),

 

Also invited by Coach Tobi Emmanuel (New Telegraph) and Ayo Bada (The Niche) are six new players discovered during the 2014 Lagos SWAN Cup won by SportsDay Newspapers. They are: David Chukwu (NTA), Dare Adeshina (TVC), Omisore Yemi (TVC), Wilfred Mong (City FM), Stanley Uwem (City FM), Akindele Samson (City FM)

 

Meanwhile, some of the players expected to feature for the Lagos SWAN Veteran team include: President of Africa Sports Journalists, Mitchel Obi, Chairman of Brila Group, Larry Izamoje, Lagos SWAN Chairman, Fred Edoreh, Kunle Solaja, Ejiro Omonode, Felix Awogu, Niyi Oyeleke, Tony Nezianya, Mumuni Alao, Harry Iwuala, Godwin Enerkhena, Dare Esan and Duro Ikhazuagbe.

Others members of the team are, Peter Edema, Felix Okugbe, Taye Ige and Onochie Anibeze, Ben Alaiya, Adekunle Salami, Dapo Sotiminu, Chris Opara, Tony Ubani, George Aluo, Jide Alabi, Jenkins Alumona amongst others.
