Lady alleges Timaya hit her sister’s car and ran away

Timaya was reprimanded by some members of the online community, while a few of them accused the lady of making the story up

A lady had accused popular Nigerian singer, Inetimi Timaya Odon, better known by his stage name Timaya of hitting her sister’s car around Ikate axis of Lagos state on Wednesday and injuring her in the process.

The lady who was identified by her Instagram account as Osinubi Omowunmi (@whyte_26), made this known while calling out the singer for running away rather than making plans to repair the car. 

Omowunmi went on to say the 41-year-old musician also hit her sister when she came down to confront him and that she is now in the hospital receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the encounter.

She wrote, “These celebrities and how they behave. Timaya nearly killed my sister this morning. He hit her with his car and run at Ikate few hours ago.

“He hit my sister’s car and she came down to ask him to look at what he did. This heartless human was asking for number and she told him he would block him. Instead of @timayatimaya to do the needful, he hit my sister with his car and ran away.”

The lady who backed up her claims with screenshots of her chat with Timaya, also said the incident landed her sister in the hospital, while the ‘Dem Mama’ singer blocked her on Instagram after she confronted him. 

She continued: “She is at the hospital right now in serious pain and the funniest part is that I messaged him on Instagram to do the needful, but this wicked fellow blocked me after reading my message.”

Omownmi also shared videos of her sister in the hospital undergoing treatment. The victim sustained injuries on the head and leg.

The online community has reacted to the allegation, majority of them condemned Timaya’s actions and demanded that he make amends, while a few others said the lady made the story up.
