The group said that nobody is aware of any injunction with the Federal government and cannot go into speculation.

Addressing journalists, the president, Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba said they still maintain their agreement of N30,000minimum wage which is born out of patriotism and the spirit of give and take and therefore condemned any blackmail.

The joint labour however demanded that the chairman, Tripartite committee submit their documented report to Mr. President to put it into law without delay because the group will not condole their delay tactics.

They also called on workers and Nigerians to stand for the truth and resist compromise pressures.

Doubting if the private sector will comply with them, the president said that the private sector has given its own commitment to join the strike if the federal government refuses to assess their report else, there is no going back on the nationwide strike.

The group also stated that their position is very clear;  “If the federal government invites us further for any meeting we will attend. The right to strike cannot be abused even the military cannot implement it,” he said.
