Kwara State House of Assembly has postponed its resumption of plenary earlier scheduled for Tuesday, March 24.

The Clerk of the House, Halimat Jummai Kperogi, said  in a statement on Monday that the resumption was postponed until further notice.

Kperogi disclosed that a new date for the resumption of plenary will be announced at a later date.

The House of Assembly urged the people of the state to abide by recommendations on how to stay safe from the CONVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has suspended all congregational prayers in Mosques across the Ilorin  Emirate and the state at large.

A statement signed by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Monday said that the monarch gave the directive after a meeting with the Ulamas.

The statement described the decision as a measure towards curtailing the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the state.
