Kwankwaso restates priority if elected President in 2023

Rabiu Kwankwaso has restated his promise to prioritise education and youth empowerment to help rebuild Nigeria if elected President to replace Muhammadu Buhari and sack the All Progressives Congress (APC) from federal power.
The presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) reaffirmed the pledge in Gusau where he identified vibrant youths with their talents effectively utilised as an infrastructure critical to rebuilding a country run down by Buhari.
Kwankwaso, former Kano Governor, decried the situation where Nigeria has more than 20 million out-of-school children, and promised to ensure all children get sound education, from primary to tertiary school.

Consequences of poor education
The current socio-economic and political challenges in the country are direct consequences of poor education which have produced poverty and unemployment among the teeming youths, Kwankwaso said, per The PUNCH.
“We are out to do the job, as the two ruling parties in the past have failed to make meaningful moves at moving the country forward,” he stressed.
“The growing insecurity in the Northern part of the country and indeed the whole Nigeria must be carefully reviewed and proper solution proffered. With my experience as former Minister of Defence, I will, no doubt, make a difference.”
He thanked supporters for their warm reception and expressed optimism the NNPP would win in 2023.
“Although a lot of propaganda is being carried out to underrate NNPP and its popularity across the country, I can assure you that the party will take them by surprise in the forthcoming general election.”
Kwankwaso won’t merge with another party despite rumour
Kwakwanso again dismissed earlier this month talk of merger with another party as the propaganda of failed politicians who have nothing to offer except deception and lies to grab power.
He also denied planning to step down for anyone.
“That’s absolute nonsense. You see we believe that we are not above the three or four parties in this country, but by 2023, next year, by the grace of God, the NNPP will win the election at national and all other levels,” he said in Abeokuta.
“So, these are people who are failed politicians who have nothing to tell Nigerians other than to spread unnecessary rumour of a merger.
“Merger is already gone. We have our candidates. In all the parties, everybody is campaigning. So, disregard that nonsense.”
