Adeyanju’s trip was both exciting and excruciating.

When Adeyanju arrived in Mauritania, he said he met unfriendly officials of police, customs, immigration and even regular citizens. He came to the conclusion that “to me, Mauritania is the worst shit-hole anyone can be, and a place I never want to visit again.”

After scaling the hurdle of Mauritania, he reached Cote D’Ivoire where he was refused entry at the border of the country despite travelling 400 km to get there.

Hear him: “Hard day! Just got back. After riding 400km to the border, I was denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire because I refused to…. Sad! As often said ‘there are a thousand and one ways to go round Egypt’ Egypt here denoting a challenge. We will solve the challenge and get back on course!”

Adeyanju is finally in Lagos after setting out from London on April 19.

Lagos is the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, and the city’s bikers have already started a heroic welcome for the Nigerian born.
