Kogi Governor accuses NCDC of faking state’s COVID-19 test result

-

The Kogi State’s Governor, Yahaya Bello, has accused the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) of faking the result of the state’s COVID-19 index case.

Speaking through the state’s commissioner for health, Haruna Audu, the governor said the NCDC, in its desperation to record a Covid-19 case against the state, made up the result of its index case.

The governor spoke to Channels Television through his commissioner on June 8.

The governor said investigation carried out by his government has revealed that the state’s index case was not COVID-19 positive.
