He went on to say with the trio set to travel for international duty, he is worried about their fitness level when they return.

Klopp said : “Now, the boys go on international duty. We hope they come back healthy.

“Lucho [Diaz] felt his groin, Darwin hamstring, Cody twisted his ankle. They play again in four or five days, it’s crazy.

“Hopefully we will finish the season in style.”

Meanwhile, Klopp while reflecting on his team’s 4-3 defeat to the Red Devils blamed players’ decision-making in the final third for the loss.

Speaking with ITV after the defeat, he said: “We could have won the game and we would have deserved it. But United deserved it as well.

“At 2-1 up we had so many chances to kill the game. Last pass not right, or in a rush in some moments. The rest is already history, if you want.

“The longer the game goes, the decision-making does not get any better. Congratulations to United, going to the semi-final, we have a game less, or have two games less, and we try to use that in the next few weeks.”
