There is another twist to the feud between Deji Adeyanju and former ally, Charles Oputa, popularly called Charly Boy.
Charly Boy, in an interview, admitted that indeed he was indeed approached and paid by Festus Keyamo, Director of Buhari’s Media Organisation to use his latest song in which he was dissing Atiku for their campaign.
In a Twitter post on January 28, Keyamo tweeted a song of Charly Boy, saying he destroyed Atiku in that song.
“When Keyamo came to discuss Deji’s matter, he heard my new song, what I was working on and that was Another guy man wan enter where I was dissing Atiku. When he heard the song, I know his head was calculating what to do with the song. Now, I don’t care but if you want to use my work, you have to pay for it. Of course, he paid for it and they paid heavy money,” Charly Boy said.
He said Keyamo paid him a nine-figure amount in order to use his song against Atiku. He alleged that Deji and many others wanted to take part in that money, hence his tiff with Adeyanju.
“Everybody wanted a part of that money, including Deji,” he said.
Social media users have continued to bash Charly Boy and Keyamo for monetizing their consciences for greed.
