Minister of State, Labour, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has announced the loss of his driver, Yohanna Shankuk, to the on-going #ENDSARS# protests by Nigerian youths. Shankuk was run over by a car driving against traffic in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Minister, who made the disclosure via his Twitter handle, wrote: “I regret to announce that my driver, Mr. Yohanna Shankuk, died yesterday in Abuja as a result of the protests. A vehicle that saw advancing protesters at Berger Junction, made a U-turn, took the one-way back and ran over him as he was making his way on foot to my private office”
In the last one week, Nigerian youths in their numbers have taken to the streets nationwide, to protest against the dreaded, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), unit of the Nigerian Police, who have been accused killings, extortion, rape and theft.
