In a heavyweight clash between two of English Premier League’s elite clubs, Liverpool were held to a draw by visiting Man City at the Anfield stadium.

The visitors dominated the game from the blow of the whistle, but were unable to find the needed goal to reward their brilliant performance in the first half.

In fact, it was unable to record a shot on target.

Second half was evenly matched, as Liverpool came more into the game and got the first goal of the game on the 59th minute through Sadio Mane after an assist from Mohamed Salah.

The goal spurred City on as they equalized 10 minutes later, through Phil Foden after a pass from Gabriel Jesus.

Liverpool responded with another goal on the 76th minute through Mohamed Salah, only to be pegged back on the 81st minute, when Kelvin De Bruyne drew City level once again.

The host is now second to Chelsea on the EPL league table with 15 points and +11 goal difference , while Man City is third with 14 points and +11 goal difference.
