Bayern Munich’s 18-year-old attacking midfielder, Lennart Karl, has issued a subtle warning to La Liga outfit Real Madrid ahead of the sides’ UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash, saying the Bundesliga club currently “feels unbeatable”.

The youngster made this known recently while speaking after his team narrowly defeated Freiburg in a league encounter.

Real Madrid will host Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie at the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday.

Both European giants were in action in their respective domestic leagues on Saturday but came out with contrasting results.

While Real Madrid lost 2-1 at Mallorca, Bayern Munich edged their encounter against Freiburg 3-2.

Following the win over Freiburg, Karl was asked about the prospects of facing Real Madrid.

Responding via Mundo Deportivo, he said their league win would give them confidence going into the UCL quarter-final.

“We have talked in the locker room about how this victory gives us a lot of confidence for the game in Madrid,” Karl said. “It’s very important to have won. In fact, right now, we feel unbeatable.”

Bayern Munich have lost only two matches across all competitions this season.

They currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga table, nine points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.
