The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on March 18, visited Gama, the ward that holds the biggest votes in the March 23 governorship supplementary election.
The Kano State governorship election was declared inconclusive after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) found that the number of canceled votes exceeded the margin of win which the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had.
Ganduje, was in company of his officials and party loyalists during the projects inspection. He acknowledged cheers from supporters as his motorcade drove round the ward.
The governor, vying the election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), is in a battle to retain his post.
His opponent, Abba Yusuf, has a slight edge in the supplementary election.
Some of the projects the governor inspected include road rehabilitation, construction of boreholes, drainage, refuse collection and rehabilitation of schools.
