Kanayo O. Kanayo made his movie debut in 1992 in the film ‘Living in Bondage’ and has since starred in over 100 movies

Nollywood veteran actor and lawyer, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo took to social media on Tuesday to thank God for reaching a landmark birthday.

The versatile actor, while marking the special day, shared a video of himself on his verified Instagram page reading the Bible.

In the video, which has since gone viral, the movie star showed his appreciation for attaining the new age by offering prayers for himself and his followers, asking God to take everyone to their expected end.

Kanayo O. Kanayo also announced in the video that he turned 60 and quoted a portion of the Bible that spoke about God’s promise to ensure his followers achieve their desired goals in life. 

He said “As I thank God today, 1st of March, my 60th birthday, I have prayed for myself and will also pray for you as a friend, brother, sister, and neighbour.

“For the Lord had said in his words, I know the thoughts that I think towards you; thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

“That’s my prayer for myself today and that’s my prayer for you. That the Lord in his might and mercy shall give us an expected end. Happy birthday to me at 60. Thank you for being there. God bless you.”

He was nominated in 2008 at the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in the movie ‘Across the Niger’ and his most recent movies are ‘Up North’ and ‘Living in Bondage: Breaking Free’.
