The people of Kagara Emirate Development Association (KEDA) in Rafi council have pleaded with the Niger State government and security agencies to urgency tackle the politically motivated violence in the area.

The crisis has allegedly claimed life of a man known in the emirate as Ismail Dahiru Bako.

The Chairman of the group, Alhaji Adamu Isah Kusherki, made the appeal

in Minna.

He also condoled with the family of the deceased, Ismail Dahiru Tunga Bako, who was stabbed to death during a political rally in Kagara.

The association, according to him, condemned the irresponsible act of hooliganism exhibited in the area by the chairmanship aspirants who rather than preaching peace do otherwise.

The development may not be unconnected with the ongoing political campaigns for the local government election in the state.

The grassroots election  has been fixed for November this year.

Kusheriki also urged the state Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to disqualify the two candidates  running for the Council elections for jeopardizing the long existing peace in the area.

The aspirants are the immediate past ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Gambo Kagara (Bojo), and the State Organizing Secretary of APC, Alhaji Musa Modibo.
