Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has named a 37-year-old engineer, Omobayo Godwin, as his new deputy.
This followed the impeachment of the former deputy governor Philip Shaibu on Monday by the House of Assembly.
A panel established for the impeachment proceedings cited the leakage of state government secrets as the reason for Shaibu’s removal from office.
Born July 19, 1986, Godwin hails from Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the state.
