In the last three days, the chatter that has dominated social media has been that comedian, Julius Agwu, is sick, forcing his wife, Ibiere to allegedly abandon him for another man.
The alleged action of the wife split social media into two camps. One camp supports her alleged action on the ground that while Julius Agwu was in good health, he allegedly kept several girlfriends who should also take part in sharing his alleged worse moments.
But another camp said the alleged action of the wife was unjustified because leaving a person at a time they are sick is unconscionable.

Recall that in 2015, Julius Agwu was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
In a 2020 interview with Saturday Beats, Agwu noted that his sickness had taught him a lot of lessons. He said, “I have learnt a lot about life. I don’t want to say some things but the fact is that I have grown. Life has taught me that it is important to strategise. One cannot win all the time and at some point, one has to settle down and watch certain things unfold. However, one unforgettable lesson is that one needs to hold on tightly to God and not despise Him. I also learnt the value of friendship but I don’t want to say more than that.”
On the latest trending story about Agwu’s ill health, another comedian, Bovi, debunked it, claiming the man is fine. He, however, left out the part about the wife.
Bovi said in a tweet on his verified twitter handle @officialbovi that: “Me, Julius Agwu, Save, Buchi and Basketmouth was in the club day before yesterday. Wednesday night to be precise. Two nights ago to be exact. Just saying.”
Before Bovi’s intervention, a twitter user, @DaddyShark64 had said: “Surprised cos it’s not been too long I saw him (Julius Agwu) driving out of our estate.”
