Johnny Drille insists he’s not dating actress, Tomi Ojo

Johnny Drille made this known during a recent interview with Hip TV, where he maintained that they are “just friends.”

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, John Ighodaro, better known as Johnny Drille, has refuted claims that he is dating fast-rising Nollywood actress, Tomi Ojo. 

The two celebrities were rumoured to be in a romantic relationship after the thespian was seen playing the role of the singer’s love interest in the music video of his song ‘Believe Me’.

Disputing the innuendos during a recent interview with Hip TV, Johnny Drille said what they have is a platonic relationship and maintained that they are “just friends.”

His clarification on his relationship with the actress comes on the heels of the disclosure of his secret marriage to Rima Tahini, the Director A&R, Mavin Records. 

Speaking during the chat, Johnny Drille said: “First of all, if you watched the [‘Believe Me’ music] video, you would know that there are two Ojos in the song.

“One is Wale Ojo, the other one is Tomi Ojo. It was in a way some kind of pun but it seemed to work well together.

“But as regards relationship, Tomi Ojo is an amazing person. She’s a fantastic person to work with. She’s very great for the music video. That is the much I can say. That’s all I can say.”

Meanwhile, Tomi Ojo has reacted to the news that Johnny Drille has walked down the aisle with another woman.  

The singer on Tuesday, July 4, showed off his wife on social media, shattering the hopes of his fans and other Nigerians who had hoped he was truly dating the budding actress. 

However, while reacting to the unveiling of his wife and wishing them well, Tomi wrote on her Twitter page, “Love is a beautiful thing.”
