Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies, (SSAEAC) has said that the strike that was embarked upon by the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) last week was a sabotage.

The President, Chris Okonkwo, stated this in a press briefing Friday in Lagos.

He said his reason for the press conference was to let the public know that the action that took place on December 11 was a sabotage.

It would be recalled that the NUEE led by Joe Ajaero disrupted electricity supply on December 11 until the following day.

“We asked them to negotiate with us, and tell us what the issue was, but it was not guaranteed before they went on with it.”

He also stated that the union has written a letter to the President detailing the pitfalls of the actions, adding that they are ready to take actions that would guarantee peace with the NUEE.
