Nollywood actor James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, has set tongues wagging online after claiming that romantic affairs centred on demands for gratification cannot be categorised as a ‘relationship‘.

According to the thespian, if it costs a man money every time he sees his partner, it isn’t a relationship but “prostitution”.

Speaking via his verified handle, he wrote: “If it costs you money every time you see her, that’s prostitution, not a relationship.”
His bold claim sparked mixed reactions, with many agreeing that such a dynamic is a “red flag”, regardless of gender.
However, some netizens disagreed with the actor, arguing that it is a man’s duty to take care of his woman, no matter the frequency or cost.
