Arsenal strikers, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard are in contention to face Fulham in Sunday’s London derby, thereby handing the Gunners a double injury boost.

The north London club go into the clash leading their nearest rivals, Manchester City by just two points in the Premier League following the Citizens’ 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Jesus has not played for Arsenal since the World Cup in Qatar due to a knee injury, but the Brazil international returned to full training earlier this week.

Mikel Arteta resisted the urge to take the Brazilian to Portugal for the Europa League clash against Sporting CP on Thursday night, but sources have told GOAL that the 25-year-old could make his return against Fulham.

Along with Jesus, Trossard who also missed the Europa last 16 matches against the Portuguese club could also be deemed as fit enough to face Fulham.

The January arrival from Brighton picked up a minor groin injury in last week’s epic 3-2 comeback victory against Bournemouth at the Emirates.

There were fears that the 28-year-old wouldn’t be back in action for Arsenal until April after the international break.

But the news outlet has reported that Trossard has recovered quicker than expected and could now be in Sunday’s squad that will pit their wits against Marco Silva’s side.

Meanwhile, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who was equally forced to sit out the game in Lisbon on Thursday night after falling sick before kick-off is also set to make the squad.

Gunners centre-forward, Eddie Nketiah is, however, unlikely to make the trip to west London as he is still nursing an ankle knock.
