Jemima Osunde clarifies Super Eagles invitee, Arokodare isn’t her husband

Arokodare was invited for World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe by new Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle.

Nollywood actress, Jemima Osunde has refuted claims that she is romantically involved with new Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare.

The thespian made the clarification recently via a post she shared on her official social media handle.

It all started when Arokodare and 22 other players were invited for the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe by new Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle.

Reacting to the decision, Osunde took to her X page and expressed happiness over the Genk striker’s maiden invitation to the Nigerian national team.

“My family member is playing for Nigeria! As in, he’s really one of the 23 super eagles this season.

“What a life! I’m about to be a menace, it’s TEA time babyyyyyy.” she tweeted.

Her post after making the rounds elicited mixed reactions from netizens with many suggesting they are either dating or married.

However, while addressing the speculations in another post, the actress clarified that Arokodare is not her husband but a friend turned family member.

She went on to wish the Nigerian national team the best in the two matches, and urged her detractors to do the same.

Osunde wrote, “He’s not my husband, he’s my friend that’s basically become family. I am so so proud of him and his journey so far. I pray for him and for the entire team to make us all proud!

“Giving them all my love and support as you should too! Team Naija.”
