James believes Man City striker, Haaland could be a hindrance to City’s title bid because highest goalscorers don’t win the EPL

Former England goalkeeper, David James, has predicted that English Premier League (EPL) champions, Manchester City may lose the EPL title to league leaders, Arsenal this season because of their prolific striker, Erling Haaland.
James, who was an ex-Liverpool player, argued while speaking with Topratedcasinos, that the Norway international, despite breaking several goals record, could be a hindrance in the City’s bid to retain their title this term.
According to him, the highest goalscorers in the Premier League don’t end up lifting the trophy.

Discussing Haaland’s knack for goals recently, James said: “The reality is that top goalscorers don’t win the [Premier] league. Manchester City have got the top goalscorer… but I think that detracts from the productivity of the team.
“If you look at Arsenal, Bukayo Saka is their top goalscorer, but you’ve got Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah all spreading the goals around similar to how [Manchester] City did it last season when they won the league.
“I still think Arsenal are favourites to win the [Premier] league.”
Manchester City who sit in second position on the Premier League table are currently 8 points adrift of current league leaders, Arsenal.
Pep Guardiola’s side, however, have a game in hand and can still win a treble, as they are in three competitions.
