Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson has said his loan move to Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich is part of “football cycle”, adding that he does not regret his decision.

He made this known recently while discussing the move away from the Premier League west London club with TuttoSport.

Jackson joined Bayern Munich on a season-long loan from Chelsea after falling down the pecking order of manager Enzo Maresca’s choice of strikers at Stamford Bridge.

His loan deal almost collapsed on transfer deadline day after Liam Delap sustained an injury, but the German giants ended up striking a new deal with Chelsea to secure the player’s signature.

Speaking on the move, Jackson said though it was an emotional decision, he joined one of the biggest clubs in the world.

The Senegalese added that the decision will afford him the opportunity to play in  another league and discover other great players.

“[There were] very strong emotions, but not for the reasons you might think,” Jackson said (via Mirror).

“I was simply very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world, to discover another league and other great players.

“At the same time, I was a little sad to leave Chelsea, my teammates, and the fans.

“Football is full of cycles. I respect Maresca, I learned a lot from him, he has his own ideas and style.

“I have no regrets, just gratitude for my time at Chelsea.”
