Iyabo Ojo who described the LP candidate as a true ‘Lagosian’, urged voters in Lagos to support their own choice and avoid fighting

Nigerian actress, director, and producer, Iyabo Ojo has endorsed the governorship candidate of
Labour Party (LP), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour ahead of the Lagos gubernatorial election.
In a now-viral Instagram post, the actress shared a campaign flyer of the Lagos LP’s governorship candidate and called him a true Lagosian.
“Son of the soil…Omo Eko gangan….remain blessed and highly favored @grvlagos ” Iyabo Ojo wrote.

The mother of two went on to urge voters in Lagos State to support whichever gubernatorial candidate they want and advised them to avoid fighting during the election.
She also told electorates that the reason why they are voting is to elect a candidate who will ensure a better Lagos State for them.
She added: “Please vote & support your own choice in peace. Let the best man win. A better Lagos is what we pray for, no fight, no hate.”
After her post made the rounds on social media, netizens trooped to the comment section to air their views, some of them commended the thespian for supporting Rhodes-Vivour.
However, others queried her decision and wondered why she did not support her Nollywood colleague, Funke Akindele.
Rhodes-Vivour will be challenging the incumbent All Progressives Party (APC) candidate, Babajide Sanwo- Olu, who doubles as the governor of Lagos State.
He will also be slogging it out with the candidate of the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran better known as Jandor.
The election which was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 11, was postponed by a week by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), who cited logistics reasons.
