Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that Arsenal hold the advantage heading into the final phase of the Premier League title race.
He made the comments on Sunday night after his team defeated the Gunners in the Carabao Cup final to lift the trophy.
Nico O’Reilly scored a brace at Wembley Stadium as City secured a 2-0 victory to claim their first piece of silverware of the campaign.
However, Guardiola’s men remain nine points behind the North London outfit in the league, although they do possess a game in hand.

Speaking on the title challenge, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager noted that Arsenal are firmly in the driving seat.
“I would love to be nine points in front, to be honest. It’s in their hands,” Guardiola said.
He insisted, however, that his team will do everything possible to overtake their rivals in the remaining fixtures.
He further noted that City’s recent draw against West Ham at the London Stadium has made the title chase significantly harder.
He added: “I, personally, need an incredible break. I’m exhausted. And after that, we’ll see, step by step.
“Dropping points against West Ham punished us a lot. But we’ll try.”
